Refreshing a Brand Changing the Face of STEM
Maydm prepares girls and youth of color in grades 6-12 to revolutionize the tech industry by offering skill-based training, internships, and mentorships that fuel future STEM pursuits. We helped the Maydm team update their brand by refreshing their logo and other elements of their brand identity.

A local non-profit, Maydm approached us looking to enhance their brand. They had a compelling backstory and mission in place, but needed help solidifying brand messaging — including a new tagline — and refreshing their visual brand identity, starting with their logo.
A Tech-Inspired Logo
For Maydm’s logo, we designed a number of options inspired by the non-profit’s focus on STEM. Together, we settled on a bold “M” complete with circuit board-inspired lines; the versatile “M” can be used alone or followed by “aydm.” To accompany the new logo, we developed a tagline that speaks to Maydm’s vision of diversifying representation: “Changing the face of STEM.”
Brand Visuals that Pop
From there, we concepted other key elements of Maydm’s visual brand identity, including its colors and gradients, typography, and icons. These elements, along with other examples of the Maydm brand come to life — one sheeters, social posts, and more — were packaged into brand guidelines and delivered to the Maydm team to support their new brand rollout.
